About us:

We are a VERY small group, officially formed in 2009! We are a Very small team of ladies who save and foster dogs in our own homes in order to find them their forever homes. The reason we are called Gracie's Place is the founder's first rescue dog was named Gracie. She was a white lab found run over by a car on Hwy 53 in Dawsonville, GA. She was in pitiful shape but was one of the best dogs ever. All the dogs are in foster homes. Please don't "shop" for your next pet but consider rescue adoption whether from us, a local shelter, or other rescue organization. Unfortunately, we can only take what we have a foster home for...that means we have to adopt someone in order to bring in a new dog.

Please consider adopting your next pet. It is estimated that anywhere between 5 and 12 million pets are euthanized in shelters each year. These pets are not disposable, nor do they deserve the fate that is handed to them. With your help, we can save one pet at a time! Each and every animal deserves a forever home. While this is a huge committment, it is one that is unrivaled in the gifts you receive in return. Pets offer us unending love and dedication. Even when only given the time, love and attention we can spare, they continue to give us their all. We owe it to them to give them a second chance at a forever home! Please join us in our crusade to end the senseless euthanazation of millions of animals every year.
